Just a Few Schillings

You know as the season is upon us I hope I might encourage everybody to set aside a few schillings for those who have nothing or very little. Before we all over spend on ourselves and our loved ones? How about if we set aside a few schillings for charities of our choice? There are kids out there that would really be touched by even a cheap stuffed animal---it might be the only toy they get this year. A homeless shelter person could use a scarf or hat. I also used to give bonus miles to the American Airlines Miles for Kids program. This economy has really hurt charitable organizations and anything you could spare would really help out. You won't have to look far from home to find one worthy. Philanthropy will make you feel good too.

Just a Few Schillings

Took care of that last week. My company is sponsoring a Christmas family. There are several needs. I kicked in a few Hamiltons.

I always donate around 50 dollars worth of toys every year for toys for tots. It's a great program. And you're right, just the littlest things can make a huge smile on a kids face.

Just a Few Schillings

When I closed my woodshop, I donated a pickup load of children's rocking chairs, doll high chairs, doll beds etc. Haven't been able to do as much as I would like since.
