Inland Eastern Shore Maryland: state of emergency. Low-lying areas are under mandatory evacuation.

Steady rain since 9am. Winds starting to pick up. Predicted 6-10 inches of rain in the next 18 hours.

Basement still dry.

What's the forecast for the new rooftop Pagoda? Did you build it seaworthy?

The reports I've read seem to indicate that there's more hype than storm. I guess we'll see. Make sure you got plenty of gas. When Katrina hit in 05, power was out to 97% of Jackson. Nobody could get gas. And when stations did get power back there were endless lines and they got pumped dry. It took a week or so before things got back to normal.

It might be the only thing at their house that stays out of the water

Gassed up the car this morning. Picked all my ripe fruit/veggies and cut my basil. Pesto for dinner.

First wetness in the basement.

So far, we're still north of the storm. I've got a leak in my sunroom at the junction of two old additions.

Basement is flooding; but not as badly as expected.

I like using this website to track storms. I don't know if it is any more accurate, but it looks cool.

3.9 inches of rain. And the worst of the storm is still 8 hours away!?!?!

Check and check. Setting my alarm to go off hourly so I don't forget to check on things.

I live not to far from Dover St. I heard it was starting to flood near the street.

There is reported flooding all over town. My basement is taking on water and we're one of the highest points in town. We've gotten right around 5 inches of rain since 9am.
