iPhone 5

Ok everyone they finally released it! Now who's getting it?!?......

gregzoll 09-21-2012 11:01 PM

Not me. I am sticking with my iPhone 4 with iOS 6 on it. Will not trade out, until the battery dies on this one.

Yeah I have the iphone 4 with the new update but torn between iPhone 5 or samsung galaxy s3

creeper 09-22-2012 06:49 AM

Samsung...ask any geek..much better.

Why bother changing at all. I'm not sure that there is a huge diff between the 4 and the 5 except for a mm in size and a new expense.
Is it really worth it.

JetSwet 09-22-2012 07:12 AM

Exactly if you want a phone to really play with then yes galaxy s3 because there are so many nerd features on the thing and iPhone is just a phone meant to do a lot of things simple.

The difference in between the 4 and 5 are speed, LTE instead of 3G, camera, weight, pixels, and Siri are Tripple better the the 4 but not that much from the 4s.

I just got the galaxy II. The thing is amazing to me, but I've been a hardcore Blackberry user (which I still miss) for years.
The Samsung was free with a locked in term, but it certainly is good enough for me.

I never had any android phone, I went from blackberry to iPhone but the iPhone to me seems really boring now, if the wife didn't have iPhone it would make my choice much easier to go with android plus the google now app apparently super succeeds the Siri.

I don't have a cell phone......

No signals out here in BFE!

I don't buy Apple products for myself but have had to for staff. Jobs was a horrible person and ever since I saw him rip a lowly receptionist to shreds in his own lobby I thought even less of him. He is taught generations it is alright to steal intellectual property so I find amusing the company is so defensive now that the shoe MIGHT BE on the other foot. We shall see how the Motorola suits settle.

I am also notorious for running phones through the washing machine so am not about to spend $500 on one. I buy my own because I do not contract for internet or phone and get much better deals paying as I go. I have a more than adequate unlocked smartphone at the moment and will not cry if something happens to it.

Anyhow, sounds like the fruit people have made a major mistake dumping Google maps. Their alternative seems to work about as well as AT&T phone service did on the early iPhones. At least people can get Verizon and even Cricket service with iPhones now.

Apple's response to the map faux pax by the way? "Relax. It will get better." At least I haven't heard the iPhone 5 shorts out if you hold it wrong.

JetSwet 09-24-2012 08:04 PM

Yes Jobs was very rough around the edges but led apple to we're they stand now. The maps hasent changed look wise but if you don't have the 4s or 5 then it's worthless cuz you need Siri.
They also dumped the YouTube app as well. I have so many google apps and mail it's not funny this is a main reason I'm considering the galaxy s3, plus the jellybean update includes google now which makes blows Siri out of the water.

You mean the $150M Microsoft bailout in 1997 led Apple to where they stand now.
