I'm a daddy.
We compromised in our family. After 12 weeks off my wife is going back to work full time to finish the school year (she works at an elementry school) which is about 4 weeks. During that time her mom (grandma to our son) will be watching him. Then for the next school year my wife will only go back to work part-time. Part time helps us pay the mortgage and also have enough left over for savings and emergencies and also affords her more time at home to be with our son. Also, since we are close to her parents it will be her mom watching our kiddo.
