How hot ?
107* F here this afternoon. :furious::furious: At least 10* above normal for Southern Indiana. How is the weather in your part of the world ??
|
107 !! thats insanity! On an actual thermostat and not just "feels like" I've never felt that kind of heat outside of a sauna
Up here we are having our second heat wave of the season. Heat alerts have been issued. Red Cross roams the city Sts and parks giving out water bottles. In order for a heat wave to be declared we have to have 3 consecutive days of temps 30c or over. Today was 31. Tomorrow 32 30 is 86f/87f 32 is 88/90 f Everybody complains about how hot it is |
In the 90's and a bit humid up here in northern Massachusetts today. I just installed a 2 ton mini-split A\C so it's cool and dry in the house!
|
102-104 for 5 days in a row. Supposed to cool down to 98 every day for the next couple weeks.
|
I think I'd rather tolerate your southern temps, than our nasty winter cold snaps. Negative 28 c translates to negative 10 f
exposed skin freezes in 60 seconds or less. |
107 with very low humidity, actually. Neither is normal. Normal would be 90* with very high humidity. It was 106* yesterday and its going to be about the same, next 3 or 4 days. 99* for July 4th. Crazy weather all over, I guess. Ive seen 102* or so in my lifetime but never temps like this. It got up to 77* in my house this afternoon. I need one of the forum AC pros to tweak on that AC I guess.

In Oct/ Nov/Dec 30 or 40 feels bone freezing, but after Jan and Feb when it goes up to 30 or 40 it feels positively balmy.
|
Your summer is way too short. I get cabin fever if we dont get nice days, early March. Late November too. Winter I spend way too much time clicking on the internet.
|
Yes I agree, we get gyped on the hot days, but then again I'm not a fan of damaging winds
|
It's so hot here, I saw a Squirrel fanning his nuts!

Now that I work primarily indoors all day in an office, I don't mind the hot weather. There was a time where I worked for a contractor building decks - it was brutal. I was in great shape, but when I got home I was toast! On a day like today I would get home, take a shower and then pass out for about 2 hours before I could do anything else.
Now when people come home from their office jobs and say they are whooped, I just laugh. I get that it's mentally draining and it's a different dynamic, but its' still funny when you make the comparison. |
104 yesterday, with 106 today and tomorrw.
Even the dog hurries up and dose his buisness without lolly gagging around! |
