Beenthere:

I read that you're interested in horses. What kind and how many.

I've only ever ridden with an equestrian saddle.

But not this guy. He's part Belgium and part standard. He's not broke for a saddle, but trained for a wagon . Too much horse for me.

The horses went out with the wash years ago. I got the kids and the housepets, he kept the horses.

I had reason to be there today in the rain and I could tell that he remembers me. We also had a 1/4 horse and an appoaloosa pony who was foundering quite badly..poor thing. Those two have passed away in the last couple of years

Haven't ridden in ages, but just yesterday my friend was telling me she has plans for her and I one of these mornings.

Here's a pic of my ex Sonny. He's getting fat. He didn't like the flash

Sweet. You must miss him. I know we do.

When we lived in Oklahoma we had several horses over the years. The first pic is Star. She was DH's pride and joy. It hurt to leave her, but the guy who bought our pasture fell in love with her, and we have no fencing here in Missouri.

The second is a pic of DH and Star (and Tucker) called "Ten feet off the ground". Unfortunately all I have left is a copy of a copy of a copy.....

Star is a fine looking mare. She looks like she's been well worked with that strong muscle tone.
Nice picture of your husband on her as well.

I once watched a horse kick my last Shepherd. That mare hooved her right in the head. My fault probably for stumbling around the pasture one late night after a few cocktails. The dog was behaving but quietly sniffing around her hind hooves. The horse probably got spooked and thought it was a coyote or wolf. At any rate she wasn't the nicest horse.

I had a Tennesee Walker. Neat to see him prance when we rode. But I was a better stable hand than rider.

Don't have any horses anymore. Not enough time for them.

2-1/4 horses, a standardbred( I don't like driving), a saddlebred, 3 grades, an Arabian(he was hot)wonder how many people will think that means stolen LOL, A Halflinger Appaloosa mix(he was a crazy barn soured bugger and tried to kill me).

I Rode both western and English. Which depended on what mode I was in that day.

I gave one of my daughters my two registered walkers when I moved to East Tennessee years back. The mare died a couple of years ago only the one male left now. I didn't ride much but my daughter and her youngens love to ride.

Look how thick that winter hair is already. Its only early Nov. Yikes

This guy doesn't wear a blanket. He has full access to the barn, but he only chooses to go in when its really hot. He gets locked in for freezing rain only

Wow, looks like a cold winter coming up, I hope not.
