Wasn't anyone here remotely curious as to how they gather the bee sperm?? Not a job I want.

Honey Bee Crisis

When we were sprayed with Vietnam era helicopters to eradicate fruit flies in California I heard the music blaring Wagner. The goal was sterilization. Entomologists were dropped from the helicopters with little tiny tools to do you know what to the males. They left them with nothing but tiny ice bags.

Honey Bee Crisis

All funny I guess.

But tomorrow, look at everything you eat (hoping you have some veges, nuts, and fruits in your diet).

Without bees, just swipe all those foods off your plates. One in four things we eat has to be pollinated.

Man/woman was never meant to fly but bees were. They know and respect their jobs.

We are doing something awful too them we do not yet understand. Their numbers decrease dramatically every year and we had better take it all more seriously. And soon.

Again, just look at your plate and imagine at least a quarter of it just not availed to you. If it took 60 percent of the US bee population to polinate California almonds that means only 40 percent was left to everybody else. Fruit and nut trees tend to bloom at the same time across the country. Many spring vegetables that need polination too.
