Help me identify this PART


Hi,

I'm looking for a part like this to attach a hammock to the side of my house:


But I can't even start looking since I don't know what it's called

I was thinking about that bracket and you might want something a bit stronger. Search for D ring anchors. Some will have two larger bolt holes oriented vertically so you can drive t lag bolts into a stud or other 2x material The rings should also be welded.

No way would I be attaching a hammock to the side of a house!!.
Time to go to plan B.
Just no way it's going to be strong enough, just going to be doing damage to the side of the house.

Thanks everyone!

Once I knew what these are called I was able to find them on Amazon and Lowes & Home Depot!

I hear your concerns about this being not strong enough or damaging the house - I actually will be putting in 3 rings and putting the rope thru in a way that distributes the load evenly. Also the screws won't go into the house itself, which is stucco, but a thick board that is already bolted into the beams (used to support a now-removed patio cover).
