He was supposed to have a hearing last week. How did that go? I haven't seen anything on the news about it.

Bump it up.

Already signed previously but this is absolutely BS that we haven't just told Nieto to send him home.

Does anybody find it odd that we are trading 5 of the top Al Qaeda operatives for a guy that possibly deserted and might just be a sympathizer? Something is fishy here.

Please sign.

Just minutes before his hearing last week he fired his current attorney because his attorney wanted him to lie in his testimony and he wouldn't do it. He now has a new attorney but the new attorney needed time to study the case so the hearing really didn't take place or move forward. Another hearing is scheduled for June 4 I believe.

If the details that are out there about this Marine and this incident are true and this is all there is to know then the whole deal is insane. There is something very wrong with how this country operates and treats its military.

Something is very very wrong with that deal. Is the current (American) regime in cahoots with the enemy somehow? Just watch...those five chit-bags will be back in this country blowing up innocent people and bringing down buildings before too long.

I'd be willing to an exchange of..oh ...say...12 million illegals.

Windows on Wash 06-02-2014 07:55 PM

That....is funny.

So...tonight on the news we find out the guy deserted his unit and ran for the hills hoping to defect to the other side. Now, after five years with them and speaking their language he is having trouble remembering how to speak English again. Somethin's up, and it ain't good!

Not sure that's the best way to handle it but it will draw more attention to the fiasco. Can't believe our government hasn't resolved this by now.

Kind of hard to 'accidentally' cross the border......and having guns? Come on....how stupid do you have to be? Unless you're part of 'Fast and Furious'......

The Mexican attorney general's office has defended its treatment and handling of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, a Marine reservist who was arrested April 1 and since held in Mexican prison after accidentally crossing the border in San Ysidro with his registered firearms in the back of his pickup truck.

The Marine, who is being held on weapons charges, was initially kept in La Mesa prison near Tijuana where he claimed he was being mistreated and "tortured." Tahmooressi has been transferred to the El Hongo prison outside of Tecate, where his supporters have said conditions are better, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Amid mounting pressure from U.S. officials calling for Tahmooressi's release, the attorney general's office released a statement insisting that the 25-year-old's claims are "baseless." It added that it "reiterates its commitment to the observance of human rights and respect for due process of all arrested."

Let's use the President's reasoning- We leave no man behind- we'll investigate desertion accusations later........:whistling2:

No kidding....

Don't forget, we really don't have anything that Mexico wants...other than money and drug customers.
