As you all know the Health Care Reform was signed into law today.
My question is, how will it benefit a person like me?
I am a consultant working for a consulting company 40hrs/week. My company does not give me any benefits including heatlh insurance. Will this new health care reform force my consulting company to provide health insurance? I am located in Bergen County, NJ.
I guess the program is not like the one in Canada.
We have a 'Universal Health Care System' were everyone automagically gets access to services.
Each province determines how it is paid for. Alberta has no fees, BC has a fee per person/family, and Ontario has coverage paid by your employer. Most provinces either reduce your fees based on Income or have other programs to assist.
Welcome to the world of shared costs. I hope it works for you.
