Happy Fourth!

Just realized that it's Fourth of July weekend. To me, tomorrow was merely day three of my dry walling project. Turns out DH has the day off! So, I'm getting some free help tomorrow. If we get it done, I might even take the weekend off to celebrate!

PS Thanks to my friend Chris who finished five years of service to our country on July 1st.

I'll be celebrating 33 years marriage to my girl today, well, if there's time,we need to get the place ready for a family picnic on the 4th.
Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday.
And Dave, no cannonballs off the roof.

But if I get a good running jump......

I guess off the cabana roof would be easier
I haven't tried that....yet

More booze then I have in stock
We used to jump off our garage roof when we were kids
But the pool was pretty close
I might try it off the cabana - but I think it is still a 6' jump
Cement is very unforgiving, maybe oput a mattress down

I'm ready to start roofing, IW shield is down the 1st 6'
And the sun is out & broiling
Thanks to all the rain very humid
I'm on my 2nd shirt & set of socks
It's 77 in the shade & the roof is in direct Southern sun

I have to see what I have left for fireworks
Son wasn't happy last year - only 2 years old
See what he thinks this year

I'm almost 6' up the roof w/shingles
Lugged all the rest of the shingles up to the attic area ready to go on the roof
I also brought up the (2) 30x55 venting skylights
I'll be installing those tomorrow & roofing around them

Sadly my 12x18 flag fell apart, no $$ to buy a new one

From your photo, I take it that you and Rev. Jeremiah Wright are not on speaking terms?

You're right Yoyizit. The so-called 'reverend' Wright probably wouldn't have that display in his yard. Maybe he would if there was a red circle around the 'God Bless America' with a line through it.

This country would be a lot better off without people like him.

Nice display Dave.
