Happy but stinky dog

I have an elderly doxie mix named Milhouse. One of his few joys in life is eating the kills the other dogs in my pack make. Tonight he was happily chawin' down on what I assume was a bunny (it was killed after dark). So I let him stay out an hour or so eating it (and partially because, that way I wouldn't have to get out a flashlight and clean it up in my PJs),

Big mistake. He finally came in at 11pm (after I threatened to leave him out all night). I didn't think about the fact that he wouldn't just be eating it, but also ROLLING IN IT!

So, he got an emergency bath in the sink tonight so I don't have to follow through with my threat to make him sleep in the yard.

If I could only remember to THINK about what I was doing before I did it.
