Glaze for a comic book table

Alright, I am trying to figure out how to glaze over comic books on top of what is essentially a beer pong table. I am looking for something that does not soak into the comics while simultaneously creating a flat surface with which to play on. I have considered making a trough and pouring some type of glaze/finish to go on top of a table. It would need to be completely transparent. Any help on the finish would be great, I am trying to make it similar to a thick bar table glaze. Thanks.

You are looking for a pourable epoxy. I think lowes and depot carry something, or you can google a product called Bio Clear 800 or something like that
