Glass block windows
 

Hey I called the IRS and asked if Glass Block Windows qualify for the insulating and window tax credit for 2009 / 2010 They had no idea ?
Anyone ever tried to use this towards the $ 1500.00 tax credit

I cannot imagine they would. There's nothing energy efficient about glass blocks...Nothing at all. Aside from aesthetics, I wouldn't think they'd be considered an energy-related upgrade. They're not argon filled, they're not low-E, they're horribly good at transfer of heat/cold, etc......

Are you saying these windows are not good for stopping cold air,
I have the old wood basement windows 25" X 35" no storms this home is 110 years old. I have figured them for some type of warmth! over the old type.
My new Pella windows feel cold to the touch ?
