Furniture
 

Furniture is the collective term used to describe the movable items in a room necessary or convenient for living or working. Furniture may also enhance the room decoratively. Lighting and accessories are often included in describing a room’s furnishings.
The basic uses for furniture are:

• Storage which could include a bookcase, cabinet, chest, cupboard, curio cabinet, china cabinet, dresser, chest of drawers, filing cabinet, hall tree, hat stand, sideboard and wardrobe.
• Sitting or reclining which could include a bed, chair, bench, couch/sofa, love seat, settee, footstool/ottoman and stool.
• To provide flat surfaces on which to dine, write, etc. which could include a table, coffee table, desk, end table and folding table.

Probably the first pieces to be in demand historically were the chest, the stool (prototype of the chair), the table and the bed. Furniture can be made using many materials, including wood, metal, leather, plastic and fabric. Cabinetry and cabinet-making are terms for the skillet used in the building of furniture.:)

There are many different styles of furniture. Decorating our living space is a personal expression of our personality—a statement about we.Furniture recommended that we know what we like, what woods and colors please we, what best expresses our individuality. If we like a neutral, quiet, uncluttered contemporary feeling for our home, we will probably not be comfortable in a casual, colorful country-cluttered environment.
From ancient times to the contemporary era, furniture design and manufacturing has been an expression of culture and civilization bringing furniture above and beyond the merely functional aspect.

There's been a lot of this type of spam lately......

Spam is the collective term used to describe the annoying and repeated posts in a forum that the spammers feel is necessary or convenient for doing whatever it is they do. Spam never enhances a topic elegantly. Odd screen names and clumsy punctuation are often included in the spammer’s post. The basic spam posts are:

Crap which could include advertising, web links, foreign languages, non-cognitive explanations, topics of no interest, and general information that has nothing to do with anything.

Posts that get deleted by moderators or admins before they are read by the general forum members.

To provide an outlet for the spammer’s comments in the hope of some gain that never comes to be.

Probably the first spammers that existed historically were the wierdos that mumbled to themselves, kept away from other members of the tribe, and wouldn’t help in the hunt. Spammers can be short, tall, thin, and chubby. Spam and spammers are terms for the frying pan of deleted threads.

Forum spammers in general are becoming worse and worse. I have a forum which I had to close registrations because I would get 100's per day and I just did not have time to deal with it. These people need to be dragged by a train for miles and then shot at the end.

On my forum, sometimes I just remove the links. It helps the post count.:laughing:

I think you should, but, out of respect, put your comments in the form of a spammers.

Spam comes in many forms here. Some is nonsense, some is useful information that is copy/pasted from another web site with a spam link added in, and other methods such as asking totally stupid questions never expecting a real answer until they hit 20 posts so they can REALLY be PITAs! All forms are dealt with on a daily basis here by dedicated moderators attempting to keep this a friendly, helpful place to get answers to difficult questions.
