fun at night

I'm practically new to DIY projects. I'm 50 yrs old and grew up in a highrise in midtown T.O. with whitecollar parents who I doubt even owned a screwdriver.

In the last few years I've discovered that I really really enjoy projects, even the ones I make a mess of. ( but thats learning for you)

So I'm feeling kind of pleased with myself and thought I'd share a few pic's
skating in pajamas
Presenting ...my first backyard rink..fun at night-img00202-20120104-2148.jpg

AND my (don't laugh I did it on my own) shed from a kit, that has survived solidly for a couple of years.

Went outside to take the photos and just my luck it is statring to rain in January
If anybody asks I take one in the daylight

This is so cool Creeper. I bet the kids love it! Thanks for showing us.

If you get time, I'd like to see daytime pics of the skating rink. I've never seen one built before.

Creeper,

Those pics brings back some runny nosed memories.

When I was growing up some of the local fathers on our street, mine included, were volunteer firefighters and used to flood the local park so we could skate our little hearts out. We also used leg powered zambonis.

Those were the days huh. A lot of the parks had free for all rinks and even some of the school yards. No way in todays world. To huge a liability

Here are some more pics of my skating pool for you Barb and Bud. So much for the Great White North.
The zamboni is hooked up to the hot water tap in the laundry rm and it works beauties, providing the temp is -5c or colder.
