If "Juan" and "John" think it's OK -
No problem!
(Somebody has to pay for "Server Time" and "stuff"!)
I do!

The ad has been reported to the admins, there is no way we mods can't delete it.

I don't understand what the fuss is all about.
If you don't want to see the sponsored post- don't open it.
It's no more annoying then YouTube links......

I see this topic everywhere now, up in General Discussion as well.

Thanks Jim and speaking of Administrators, what happened to Nathan? This was his site, wasn't it?

Nathan left and this is one of the few forums that won't let you hide the sidebar ads. They get paid whether you can see them or not.

Why did he leave? And is he still tied to all the sister sites?

I believe Nathan sold it. Some forums become cash cows. I know of one that recently sold in the six figures, but it had 10,000 paying members plus all the ad money. There is money to be made but it's a lot of work and you have to be able to find good mods who will work for nothing.

Ditto to that, but can we get rid of them? How do I make my pc so where I don't see them? They're in thread form so not sure if that's even possible.

And how exactly do you do that???

I tried the "ignore user" option and that didn't work.

Sorry, didn't proof read. That was suppose to say " You can't block thread titles".
