Fitting a cooker hood

My suggestion would be to use masonry anchors. The plastic ones will do if hood is light enough but if the weight is substantial I would use the metal expanders. Use the recommended masonry drill bit to first drill the hole to the necessary depth and size of the anchors. The screws will then tighten into the anchor expanding it in the hole. Hopefully this info helps before he bursts a blood vessel. Maybe a back rub or something might help if this doen't help..
