Sober since '73. Don't even miss it. I learned I could be an idiot and make fun of myself without the booze. This way, when everybody laughs at something I say or do, I remember and know what they're laughing about.

Well done on the sobriety. Nothing worse then speaking to somebody who is inebriated when you are stone cold sober though. I'd rather watch reruns of storage wars

Our man Doc is young and single though. He probably wasn't even born by '73.

"Well done on the sobriety. Nothing worse then speaking to somebody who is inebriated when you are stone cold sober though." You hit that one on the head! Not to mention the volume used by inebriated persons!

You were sober 3 years before I was even concieved.

My father was an alcoholic. All of us kids have had our issues with, well, "things". I'll go not thinking about having a drink for weeks on end, months even at times, but sometimes when it's been awhile and I do end up going out I go overboard. It's hard to just have one or two and call it quits, why it gets expensive.

I'll admit it too, I got a DWI last year (my first and only) as well which cost me thousands.

I thought I was being indulgent...I spent 40 bucks on a pedicure today. After all you've got to have pretty feet

I used to put my money in a sock. Then one day I put them in my jeans which I was going to wear. Few weeks my mom washed them and called me downstairs and found I had $50!

Too small for my eyes. I hope it was funny though.

Do we want to mix this thread up and talk about money lost? A few years back I had a small rip in my back pocket. Stupid me did not change out my wallet to the other side.

Entire wallet with $300 cash in it, gone. When I checked for it is when I realized how big the rip had become.

Just walking down the street in a little town, looked down and found a $100 bill. Strangely enough, it was just outside a liquor store.

I was parked at a tourist trap in South Dakota about 10 or so years ago. I noticed my brother-in-law walking along the weeds at the edge of the parking lot, picking something up.

He walked over to me and asked if I was missing any money and showed me a handful of $20 bills.

I was using one of those fanny packs for that trip and looked down at the one I was wearing. Sure enough, I had forgotten to zip it up and most of my money had fallen out. I was lucky to get it back.
