Finding money in your pockets.

I found a $100 bill in between my mattresses last month, $30 in my closet a few weeks ago and $12 in my jean pockets yesterday as I was doing laundry. All of it was mine as I put it all there, just forgot about it, and was a nice surprise.

I've also found a few $20's in my pockets throughout the years which is always nice.

How much have you found?

I must be always losing money because I always have less than I think I should have.

Must be nice to have that much to forget about a $100 bill:whistling2:

It is. I like to carry 2k in cash at all times on my person. I like to maintain 10k minimum in the savings. I used to keep 6k cash in my dresser drawer, now it's 5k. I have money stashed in my car, in my room and at my sister's place. Checking fluctuates from negative to positive daily.

Now during the slow season I have nothing, nothing at all. Peanut butter and jelley and ramen noodles.

The funny thing is I'll go out with a some hundreds in my wallet, come home pretty plastered and start hiding my money from myself so I don't go (back) out and spend it. Then I'll wake up the next day and think I spent it so consider it gone, not remembering that I hid it. Then I'll change the bed sheets or clean the closet at a later date and boom, monkies!!

Luckily I found these monies during the slow time and needed it.

I was a few dollars short on cash at the grocery store checkout one time and as I dug through my purse, I found money I didn't know I had. It was in a little zippered pouch that I keep odds & ends in. If I remember right, it was around $110.

A guy I used to work with said that when you're driving through a parking lot where the piles of plowed snow are melting, you should slow down, drive around the pile and look for money. So far I haven't found any money that way.

When I used to work in the city I would see gatherings of retired gents hanging out at the melting snowplow piles in mall parking lots. They'd find treasure like wallets, rings, coins

Twice I've found $20.00 bills.
One was in a parking lot in mid December. Next to it was a wadded up piece of paper I picked up for no apparent reason. It was a filled out application form for food stamps. I mailed the money to the address on the form. Don't know if it was theirs, but it made me feel good - Christmas and all.

The other one I kept.

Tell me about it. I spent $600 dollars this past St. Patties Day weekend, just bar hopping and partying, buying rounds and eating out. And then on top of it I lent my friend who recently lost his job $400 for his bills.

I got a grinder for collateral for that money but the $600, it's gone bye bye.

I was so hoping I hid it. :)

Wow! What a nice thing to do! I'm sure the person really appreciated it. I bet it made his or her day!

When I was young I spent 90% of my money on women, booze and gambling. The other 10%, I wasted.

You just reminded me of another reason I'm glad I quit drinking many years ago. Thanks!

We KNOW you mean daily. You do mean daily right Doc?

Maybe you should switch to boxers, you may get more mileage out of them
