Favorite Beer after a Job Well Done (or just done)
Once in a great great while, Molson's XXX. But only 1 or 2 and only if I'm not using any power tools or a ladder. A six-pack can last 6 months. Hmm... maybe I need to work on more projects.

Black Butte Porter, Deschutes Brewery or Full Sail or Mcminmens, all Oregon beers. Oregon has more craft beers than Germany
Best is the local brewery, Barley Brown's, has just won an award in Chicago. http://www.bakercityherald.com/Local...brew-wins-gold
This on top of several other awards for the quality of their beer.

Miller Lite bottles all the way!
Then I need a break of a couple of alcohol free hours so I can start on my fav. drink, a dry martini w/ gorgonzola stuffed olives (yeah yeah, make fun all you want) but you can't exactly sip those while workin on a project for MANY reasons.

My favorite is Miller High Life,BUT it depends what I am doing. If I am working inside then I use cans,if I am outside in nice weather then I use bottles,,, I can SEE the BEEs in it. IN extreme temps I like an ICE cold Corona, hold The lime. I also lean toward a POINT SPECIAL BEER because it does not matter if it gets warm, just as delicious. When I am Just helping someone (Supervising ) I will take whatever THEY offer. When the wind is out of the north, then I enjoy a good EARLY TIMES & COKE. Boy am I thirsty= MILLER TIME
I forgot all about Teguila,w/o the lemon&salt-that stuff gives me a headache

Got *that* right, antlerdancer.... Good Tequila doesn't need salt or lemon! I got back from Cuba about a month ago. The rum is so good there, it doesn't need mix AND I never got a hangover from it...even when I over-indulged.

When I used to drink it was Miller Lite during. Afterwards I like a Smithwicks Irish Ale and a full bodided cigar like a Victor Sinclair double maduro. That will get the palate going!!
Now it's just good coffee and the cigar!!

Hands down the best for a HOT, MUGGY day:

Other than that, I stick to Michelob light (I need to).

Last summer was Gin and Tonics. This summer is Iced Tea Vodka and Lemonade.
Oh, also dinner made by someone other than me - pizza is fine.

I love it when I go to a new Dr. or clinic and during all the questions they ask: "Do you consume alcoholic beverages?" I always answer them with "All I want, when I want". Only IF they ask me about annual consumption do I tell them "Maybe a six pack within an entire year". That's now, but back then: I have supported local industry by drinking Miller Beer, well--since they built a plant here in '79 at least. My bestest buddy works there and he used to get two (2) FREE cases of beer a week, and give me two cases a month. Heck, I just couldn't let them go to waste could I? David

Love a good gin and tonic, we have them at my in-laws house every weekend after we shoot a round of golf.
After a project, it's usually a toss up between scotch or one of these :

Sam Adams (ale), Flying Fish ESB ale, J.W. Dundee Honey Brown, just to name a few.
I enjoy the dark/amber, and slightly sweet brews.
