Explain Your Username

I am fairly new to this forum. I have noticed some unique and unusual user names. On another forum I frequent someone started a similar thread and you find out some interesting things about people.

I will start; brokenknee, I didn't really start reading and participating in forums until this summer when I fell off a ladder pulled some 2X8s down on top of me, one hit my knee just right breaking my lower tibia plateau.

I was off work for 4 months with very little I could do. So when I joined my first forum I thought my surgery scare would make a good avatar. so I became brokenkee.

I am fine now and back to work. Thank God for insurance; surgery came to almost $50K. I was also lucky enough to have purchased disability insurance through work.

Here's a bump:

"Leah Frances" well, that's my name. You can also call me LF Wade.

If I could only remember to THINK about what I was doing before I did it.

Joe Devlin. It's an alias I made up several years ago for all my internet activity. I never use my real name except when dealing with personal contacts through email.

A friend once told me that my woodworking shop looked like a giant termite had been turned loose in there. Pieces of wood everywhere and sawdust on everything. My wife gets pretty angry at me because I track dust and shavings into the house. I guess I go through a lot of wood, so its a wood-usage thing. (The KC thing is of course Kansas City)

I chose my real name cuz there's already too many 234r908f9w's on the internet.

And, cuz "Fuctard" was already taken.

I didn't graduate from Texas A&M in 1967. Someone brought that reference to my attention 2 years ago, and I've been explaining it ever since.

Aggie67 was my second choice of internet monikers. My first was a mix of my high school nickname and the year I was born. However, 2 years ago I ran into a web site that wouldn't let me use it due to too many characters. So since I use the same moniker everywhere, I had to think of another, and I picked Aggie67 for everything.

"Aggie" is a short description of how I came out the far end of the secular engineering education system. (Aggie=agnostic.) I was born in 67.

Because Gary_602w was already taken? Actually the 602z part is a model number off an old digital camera I had.

I used to use Kaptain Howdy at some other forums. The name originally came from The Exorcist.

Why a K instead of a C? Why not?

Anyway...everyone referred to me as Kap, so i just go with that now. That and the fact the an 80's metal rocker made a movie where the main character was a child molester named Captain Howdy, I thought it time for a change.
