Let me add to this a bit. Back in Illinois I witnessed a similar event with geese. The male stepped out into traffic 30 mph limit) with wings wide open and actually stood on the center line until traffic stopped. Then along came the female with 5 little goslings which crossed the road as the male stopped traffic. After they were clear, the male simply folded his wings and followed them off the road. When I got to my destination I was still amazed and started to tell the counter guy what I just saw....he stopped me mid-sentence and said "what, the geese?...they do that everyday at this time, and then later in the day they cross back the other way."

Wow, those ducks had some little angels watching over them! That' is just too crazy. I thought that little one in the back got ran over mid way, but I guess he didn't. haha

That is something I've never seen before. Maybe a 2 lane highway but never a freeway...Amazing!

If that amazes you what do you think about Toronto's 18 lane highway 401. Supposedly the busiest hwy in the world. Its actually pretty cool watching a fleet of snow plows staggered and driving in unison
