Dropped my digital camera --- now what???

My wife dropped ours inside a Starbucks 20 hours after we got married as we were driving to the airport for our honeymoon..... lens hit the floor as it was turning on.

Needless to say we hit BestBuy on the way to the airport.

After we got back I actually got it working again. I sat there and tried to time the lense as it was trying to extend and got stuck. Small taps and lots of patience.... I couldn't believe I got it working again .......... there's a will there's a way!

What kind of camera did you replace it with proofer?

I dropped a camera on the ground from about 8"-10". It didn't work after that.

On another camera that took great pictures, the flash stopped working. I took it to a camera shop to be repaired and it was going to be over $150. It was a film camera though.

There was no need to replace. It started working miraculously after my trying to turn it on many times. It's working just fine now.
