Downsizing my Ice Cream - Better not!!

So I have noticed that the ice cream containers were getting smaller & smaller
Instead of buying a 1/2 gallon they are now 1.5 - 1.75 quarts
So at Stop & Shop I spied GALLONS of ice cream!!!
Only 3 flavors, I bought vanilla & fudge ripple
There are only so many places that make ice cream

Works for me !!
As a kid my sister worked at a restaurant
We ended up buying the big 5g containers of French Vasnilla ice cream
That stuff was GOOD!!

I think you need to get out more, that happened about a year ago!! Probably that 3 STORY addition you're doing!!!!

p.s. (don't go down the cereal or candy aisles!) Be safe, GBAR

My wife does most of the shopping
I knew the containers were smaller
But I was surprised no-one made a gallon bucket

And - the Ice cream is pretty good
The fudge swirl doesn't have as much "fudge" in there as name brands. But I don't like a lot of chocolate anyways in ice cream

All packaging & contents are being downsized as costs increase :(

That P'ed me O too!!!

Go to Walgreen's - they originally made their fortune as an ice cream and soda fountain. My favorite is BEARCLAW. Too bad it only comes in 1/2 gallon...

They're smaller, but they still seem to add about as much to the waistline :)

Yeah! And why does my 3# can of coffee now read 33.9oz?????:censored::censored::censored:

Steinlager Beer in bottles=11.5 oz.

Do you have an old 3# coffee can around? Compare it to what you are buying today and the size difference will shock you. I came across an old 3# can a coupe week ago that has $1.89 price sticker on it... Holy @#^% am I getting old, I sound like my granddad.

Scuba_Dave 06-23-2009 10:23 PM

The price just went up from $3 to $4
I guess more people are buying it
One downfall, you sort of get tired of the flavor before you run out
