Do You Enjoy Outdoor Activities and Camping?

How many of you enjoy the outdoors and camping?

The pictures above are some I have taken while exploring.

I would love to hear about some of your favorite outdoor activities.

I do. Mostly photography and nature travel tours. Went sea kayaking with Orcas in the Johnstone Strait in BC and Polar bear watching way up in Northern Canada (Wager Bay).

It is EXPENSIVE now due to the transportation costs. Probably around $6-8000. I paid $3000 quite a few years ago. Got to see real pristine polar bears. There are some good cruises up the east side of Canada that specialise in that and have offshore excursions. Ecosummer expeditions has been around a long time and is very good and honest. The cruises you can find in magazines like Nature Canada but stay away from the generic ones if you want to get offshore and really experience the land.

Camping cost next to nothing unless you are one of those people that requires a lot of fancy equipment to spend time in the outdoors.

Cricket is the username I have used in forums for many years now. When I first joined this community it wasn't letting me have my name. I was able to solve that issue so that my name is consistent throughout all the forums I manage.

I like camping better than motels---

A pop up tent and a frying pan ----that's my idea of a nice vacation--

I meant you have to fly me out so I can go camping with you.

Do You Enjoy Outdoor Activities and Camping?

Camping is one of our favorite things to do. Every year a bunch of our friends from several different states have a gathering here in Chattanooga, in April to fish, camp and eat like there is no tomorrow. We have a ball just sitting around jawin. It gets a little cool sometimes here so a campfire is going most evenings.

Here is a picture of our campsite a few years back when we still had the little teardrop camper. And the other picture is of a fish caught about two miles from our home. It is not unusual to hear about 100 pounders being caught here. We caught a cat one evening and it was pulling our boat around. Judy hung a big cat at the dam that snapped her 50 pound test line like a thread.

Now that you told them. One of us will have to bring a lap top and air card.
