Deer Rescue

A great video and the little girl was a great touch, especially when the doe and fawn were united.

Unfortunately, around here, it would just be another deer to be killed by the professional hunters that are hired to keep the population healthy and in check. We have deer in our neighborhood that always carry paint ball marks, but the colors change daily or weekly. Some municipalities hire hunters, but do not declare it openly to non-residents, because the presence of excessive deer could lower property values. Deer are known to be attracted by lawn mowers and chain saws that make food more accessible.

No one cares about the turkeys because they are dumb until the hunting season opens, but where do the turkeys carry the hunting regulations dates without a pocket and only feathers?

It has been 2 days since I saw a deer near a city street/road, but the ones that eat the shrubs and gardens come through between 7:30 AM and 10:30 AM and after 4:00 PM every day.

They certainly are admirable, but very frequently deer get into bad areas and situations where they should not be.

Dick
