It's been weird around here.
70 one day, in the 30's the next.
Clear sky's and 60 deg. here so I go out with my lawn vac to suck up leaves about 1 mile away and as I get there the temp. drops 20 deg. and pours down rain.

West Tennessee got it pretty rough. Here in East Tennessee we just got rain. 41 here right now, still not expecting bad weather here.

Not crazy, but just a little early this year. Now it is like January and not December in MN. - It was -12F this morning with a clear sky and lots of sun. Now (5 hours later) it is above 0F with the sun burning through the snow and ice on the streets.

Fortunately, we only got 5" of snow over ice and then the cold moved in to push the nasty stuff to the south and east. Cross country skiers everywhere on every golf course ans park and the gas stations are doing a good business for the people to enjoy the greater snow north of us. Unfortunately, the snow will insulate the lakes and slow the ice depth growth, so the people that drive on the lakes or have 12x20 ice houses will have to wait a week or two.

This means we will see some rain in January when everything cycles around.

Winter is just a state of mind.

Currently 12 degrees and clear- about 0 when I got up this morning- below normal
Been this way for about a week now- no snow yet so the frost is driving in the ground.
Concrete work on hold unless the grounds been protected.
I turned down some pipe thaw work today for 2 reasons- It's saturday, and I had to pick up the wife at the airport.
She was in Huston for business- where it went from 70ish to mid 30's

Local lakes are freezing so I might go after some pike and crappie soon!

Woke up to 4 below and a frozen pipe to the shower. It's 14 right now, the radar says it's snowing but I don't see any (yet).

It's been sunny and cold here all day. We're supposed to get a lot of snow tomorrow night - just in time to create some school closings for Monday.

Well the kids got to be loving that. Get them wishing now, the more they do the less likely that it will happen.

At least that was my experience growing up!
