Craigslists Scores - good stuff

I'm moving to Illinois. Your Craigslist is better than ours!

I passed on a deal a couple weeks ago and I could still kick myself for it.

I don't know how far north (of the state line) you are but the SW MI and South Bend Indiana lists are my local lists. There is rarely anything any good, that I see anyway.

I'm a little bit north of Grand Rapids. Our CL is okay most of the time. I don't see many outstanding deals like TJ_in_IL gets.

Right now I'm looking for a DeWalt compound miter saw. I saw one with a 12" blade with the miter saw stand for $250 and didn't buy it. I think that would have been a pretty good deal.

He who hesitates is lost. You snooze, you lose. Etc.

I usually check the Chicago and Milwaukee CL's, but they recently added a Kenosha-Racine board. There is not much activity on it yet, since it is so new. I think that is why I was able to get the posts so cheap and quick. The other stuff I got was on the Chicago board.

I've picked up FREE:
27" Sony Trinitron TV less then 8 years old plus a nice coffee table
14" RCA TV only 3 years old now !!
Probably over 1000 bricks
16" square Patio blocks - maybe 400 sq ft
Stone dust w/above - maybe 2 yards (pain to shovel)
Free bushes "ewanus" (sp?), forsythia (had a dozen)
4x8 mirror (saved for the bar)
Jalousie windows
Sliding glass doors (not really surprising)
Asst other Patio blocks
Cement blocks 8x8x16 - maybe 200
Wall block - maybe 200 pics - big blocks
Speakers - used out by the pool
Tug boat sand box (gave away to someone else later)
2 electric powered cars for my son (sit in kind)
Loveseat (from neighbor) - we use it on the porch in the summer
5' fixed Andersen doors

At very good prices:
Lots of Andersen windows - almost all new, many still in the box
Wood swing set, 6'x6' sandbox, & tower/slide/fort ALL for $75
Big outdoor play castle for my son - $20 delivered
Old hot tub - buried for a pond, used the cover for sand box
My cupola - 4' square $250

not sure what else..........

We found a 28' boat that ran well for free. The wife was pissed off at her husband who was cheater on her so she gave us the boat for free.

$4500 value--score of the day....
