Christmas Display - Ongoing but here's a Start

More stuff out, most of the soldiers....nutcrackers are next
Each year I try to make it easier, so this year the soldiers have been mounted to plywood in rows
Makes it easier to bring them in & out
The white hats led by a bear
The Canadians...Eh ?

Here's a decoration you probably don't have Dave.

(Got this picture and the story in an email today.)

Make sure to read the story after the picture.

"Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house. She didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up into my yard."

We're all lucky that I live far away. But my first instinct was to run up to the house and do the same thing the 55 year old lady did. It looks sooo REAL! WOW! It sure is an attention grabber! But Scuba Dave's display is in another league. It's just beautiful and enhances serenity. It also shows the amount of effort that goes in to that show!!!

Some more additions, always tried to figure out what to do with the small lawn decorations
I've decided to add them at the base of each Lollipop
I'll have to add plugs for power, that might be next year unless we get a warm day

Disney crew, Pooh & Tigger are out

What? No speakers and a recording to go with the dude..."HELLLLLLLLLLP, HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP, get me down from here, OMG I don't wanna die. HELLLLLLLLP, my grip is slipping and I can't hang on much longer. HELLLLLLLLLLLLP"

That is totally hilarious but I can definitely see the need to take it down.

hehehe I had to laugh. If I had one ounce of Dave's energy, I would already have my garage moved! That doesn't even count the other million things I would have completed by now!

I'm looking forward to seeing the siding go up in the spring, and hey, how about enjoying some of the winter months, your fantastic Christmas decorations, and lay off the the inside until after New Years!

Yes, I know that is unusual for you, but I bet the family would love it.
Have some egg nog, enjoy some play time, Spring comes soon enough.

We have plenty of time to drive you crazy in the spring.
(and we will)

I had to get those out for my son this year
I do like Goofy, Tigger (my favorite), Mickey & Minnie
I'm not a a big "fan" of Pooh...but he goes with Tigger

I can't stop
I started cleaning & organizing the Great room so I can wire the back 1/2 today
I have scrap wood piled up to burn, so had to move some of that
I can drill the holes & get things ready soon
But we have 10 days of cold weather moving in with lows in the teens
Kind of hard to wire when its that cold in there

Plus I need to clean & organize the basement
So I have enough to keep me going until Spring I think

I just looked outside & its really foggy w/snow & now the rain
My neighbors turn their Christmas lites on at 4p....I may need to change my timers

With CFL & LED it has actually gone down a lot
Last year was very small display due to snowstorms
I haven't put much out this past week as we have had 2 snowstorms
But I have a few more things to go out
I'll let you know the damages in Jan
Our electric "month" actually closes today...so part will be on this month
