Changing careers

Who's done it? How? Why?
I think I'm done with hvac but not sure where to go or how.

I took a year off last year and drove an 18 wheeler. Why? My business went south. At the moment it is doing well( painting, wall paper hanging). The trucking was killing me, 14 hour days, only home enough to eat, shower, sleep, pay not so good.

I've changed hats a time or two----worked out for me,but I don't really recommend that for everybody and never without a plan of some sort.

Every 10 years in my adult life give or take I have switched.

Funny went to college in the 70's and then went into sales for a FORTUNE 500 COMPANY. LEft that for another fortune 500 company and after 5 years couldn't stand it , so started a construction business of my own....

It is fun starting over even though the pay to start new careers sometimes don't pay that well.

You been drinking again?

I changed majors in college once, and changed careers once. 26 years later, I have absolutely no regrets about my current vocation.

At 70, I plan to retire from my current profession, and become a professional greeter/pest at WalMart.

Oh crap! Now what am I going to do? I can't stay home, because my wife will always have projects for me to "help with" around the house! :(

Yes, been drinking over 24 hours now. Still, I have experience with older woman. I like it!

Easy. Don't work at all. Make 14 illegitimate children and leech off Uncle Sam - and those suckers who work hard and pay taxes - for the rest of your life.

It's the American way.

Hey Doc; Heating, a/c and refrigeration seem to pay really well around here. Particularly in the commercial aspect.

As far as your idea for an alternate career. I've no experience with older or indeed any women, so I can't help you there. :)
How about pool boy services in a rich neighbourhood. You might find that errr, uhmm satisfying
