Cans of rare gold coins found buried

This couple found cans of rare gold coins buried in the ground, while walking their dog.

Knew I should have dug a deeper hole.

I like that they are also donating some of the proceeds to help the homeless.

Good for them!
I think it was stated that the estimate of value was; somewhere
around 10 Million "USD"!

(Here comes the "IRS"!)

Look out for the tax man, the gimmes, and other assorted crooks.

I would have kept it so quiet that you would have thought that I was poor.

I wonder how long they'll be able to keep their identity secret.

I used to have a small john deere compact tractor with a removable backhoe. All the digging in my yard and the only thing I dug up was my gasline and underground electric service to my shop/ garage.

Once their identity is known, there will be plenty of people trying to claim it.

one of the coins was worth a cool million. That is an incredible find and I am very happy for the people. I was surprised that they were able to keep them. I was waiting for the part of the story were the feds step in and take them. Personally, I would have sold them to a private collector in private.

It's been reported that they may be taxed 47%
