My favorite Candy, thought I should share.

I really liked "Lilly was here " when it was first released. Late eighties right? I don't remember hearing much from Candy Duffler after that. In fact I think I have the cd so that must mean early 1990

I keep going back to Youtube for more Candy. She never did much mainstream music for the American or Canadian audience. More popular in Europe, I think.

I just dug out the cd. Its called Candy Dufler SAXuality It was 1990

I can't stand when the radio stations get a hold of an excellent song and ruin it by playing it every hour on the hour.

There is a radio station in Toronto that I've listened to over the years that was great for indie stuff. Very eclectic. They used to have a policy that the same song wouldn't be played more than once in 24 hrs. I still tune in, but I know I hear some songs too many times

Saxuality has some great tunes. I almost never listen to the radio. In the car I have a 6 disc changer, mostly blues. Old school, no Ipod. At home I have a bunch of music channels on my cable but Youtube always has something so thats where I get my tunes. What gets me is, almost nobody has even heard of Candy Dulfer. They dont know what they are missing.

Does this bring back any memories?? LOve it

 Another one that never got air time. I like the very clear sound. I normally listen to blues or old school rock. Sometimes I just have to have something different and that does not always include lyrics. Being an old guy Ive gone through some changes in what I like.

I've often been accused of having a weird taste in music. Like you though I get tired of mainstream

JackDidley 06-28-2012 08:56 PM

WOW!! The pics are incredible. Not to mention the music. Totally new to me. Thanks.

A pleasure.. Just drove into town to pick up my kid from work and this was on the radio. A little mainstream but still good

JackDidley 06-28-2012 09:24 PM

Nice. In the 90s I was mostly listening to some crazy stuff from the 70s. Of course I still listen to crazy stuff from the 70s. ( think, Tom Waits).

I must be getting old. Someone on the next block is blaring (and I mean blaring) some music. All I can hear is the thump thump thump of the bass. Right through the walls of the house. I already shut the windows. A headache and suffocation are setting in.

JackDidley 06-30-2012 09:57 PM

Good luck with that. I'm hearing the thump, thump, bang of 4th of July fireworks. Started 2 weeks ago and will last at least 2 weeks more. I live 2 blocks from the fireworks store and there are lots of kids around here.

Yes, there is that going on also for our holiday.

One of the neighbours will break down soon and suck the fun out of the party.

creeper 06-30-2012 11:30 PM

Its getting worse. They are going at it pretty hard. Now its music AND drunken hollering.

Oh boy
