Imagine going to cut the grass and the house is gone!

That happened to my brother years ago. He had a small rental house in a local suburb. I don't remember the details, but the city tore it down without telling him. He was in between tenants and was redoing some things inside. He went one day and found it gone. He ended up taking the city to court and won. Basicallly got his money back. Knowing my brother, I would have loved to see his face when he pulled up to the empty lot.

I owned some property many years ago.
I took my brother out to see it when he came home.
We came around the corner and all the trees were black and you could see where they cut a couple of fire breaks in.

I was totally shocked to say the least.

I never found out what happened.
