I think we need to critique the patch job and rake him over the coals for using concrete instead of epoxy.

The whole bottom of the door frame is rotting out. I used the concrete because I had done a small patch job on the sidewalk, and had some mixed concrete left over. I didn't really expect it to stay in there, but it was 2yrs since I put it in there until it popped out.
If I ever get really confident that I could re-build the door frame, I would rip it al out. But I have to learn about hanging a door first.
There are lots of other places that are rotting like this. Bottom of basement window frames, back door frame. Back door need to be replaced. Need screen/storm doors.

Front door leads directly into front foyer. No mud room.
It's time to sell the house to a contractor that wil gut it, start all over.
