building swimming pool

I have a bid in front of me in PA for a 40x16 Gunite retangular pool with a Pebbletech finish-installation/minor grading etc I am being quoted $52,500-does this seem like a fair price
We are possible first time pool owners -pool is also going to be saltwater
Any comments are appreciated

I think if you get a minimum of 3 estimates from qualified contractors and check their references you will have a better idea of what is the fair market value of the job over what is excessive.
