A plumber protects the health of the nation.(plumbers motto) There was not a good plumber incharge of this catastrophe.Any good plumber knows you don't skip on valves.Especially the house main.They saved money skimping on valves.Hows that working out? They need a dresser coupling the size of a house a mile deep.Let the plumbers join in.Flippin' idiots.Line them up and start throwing rocks at them till the BIGGEST PLUMBING DISASTER EVER is fixed.

Close but the fitters don't take no crap from anybody.


I just read the saw they were using to try to cut the pipe from the blow out valve got stuck so now they are going to try some 20' shear.

Maybe they should just use the big shear to pinch the pipe closed.



So, when is somebody going to toss out a bomb. No, literally, a bomb. The USSR reportedly sealed at least 5 deep wells using nukes. I don' know if a nuke would be required but damn, everything else is failing.


Does anybody have any idea the pressure of the oil coming out of the pipe? I have found nothing.

Under a mile underwater,4 miles under the surface of the earth.Too much pressure in a house,...50psi.I heard the experts quoted as 5,000 to 20,000, " pounds per square inch". the center of the earth has been screwed with.To put this in perspective,....the world has a blown out tire that will take ten years for the pressure to lessen.A catastrophy that makes the worlds monetary problems seem like a pimple on my butt.Eat any seafood you want now.

The water pressure a mile down is about 2000 PSI so this oil coming out is definitely at a pressure higher than that.
This is our Chernobyl.

they have already said that solution won't happen before August. So, at least 2 more months of around 25,000 barrels per day, well heck, that is only 1.5 million barrels (that's 63 million gallons) of oil. And that isn't counting what has already leaked since it began.

and that is only really a guess as to how much is leaking daily. I have read estimates from 5000 to 100,000 barrels per day.
