Best screen for laundry room?

Hi,
Without knowing what materials you can get your hands on, where you want it ( corner of room, whole side etc) and its function its hard to be specific.
If all the laundry equipment is at one end of the room and you simply wish to diguise the mess, then a free standing chinese screen may effective.
If you also want it to keep the noise levels down when the washer is on full spin then something more substantial is required. This could take the form of folding doors which follow a rail or track along the floor and ceiling and would be quite easy to attempt to fit between two people.
For full screening why not have a stud wall (timber framework covered in plasterboard) built with a doorway.

Cheers
