Best movies to watch!

a few movies you all have mentioned that are definitely "oscar" worthy in the sense if my name were Oscar.

I watched the Social Network again this evening, great screenplay for what it is.

Also, Catch Me If You Can was great..

My two are exact opposites - Ghandi -3 1/2 hours (own it now and saw it 6 times before my wife bought it for me) and High Plains Drifter(Clint Eastwood) - don't own it because it is readily available and probably sets the record for the fewest words to tell a story, but great photography and SOUNDS.

Best movies to watch!

I just saw the absolute worst movie I have ever seen - GRAVITY.

My wife wanted to see it, so I went along to see it. It was on an "Ultra" screen with stereo and surround sound plus in 3 and a couple of hours too long.

It was worst time I ever spent in a theater with no acting or dialogs and you never really saw a face. I walked out numb and asked by wife, who is very outspoken and she said she would have left early, but thought I wanted to see the results, but there were none. It was even worse than the "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes", which was a lot cheaper and will still be around long after Gravity.

It is a shame because I usually like Sandra Bullock, but techie directors and artists flopped, but it may have been better with more of a script.

Hollywood is lazy these days.

Comic book movies and remakes is pretty much what they are relegated to now.

"The Butler" didn't get the best of reviews, but, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some liberties were taken with the story, but, the spotlight on civil rights was very well done.

that is debateable . and probably is true at times. but i will say, coming up with ideas for movies, imo, can be pretty difficult. after all, what "hasn't" been done ...

Regarding Django Unchained, don't eat anything before you watch it, and you won't be able to eat anything after.

Thanks for the heads up concretemasonry, I was going to see Gravity this week.
Maybe I will wait until it hits the dvd stores, or just wait until it hits tv.
