bad day

All I had to replace this year was the heat shield, the SS burner is holding up pretty good. The only reason I replace the parts is the box is in great shape (except the pins holding the lid) so I figure all I would be replacing is the insides anyway. I think ours is about 11 years old now.

bad day

BigJ...glad to hear the news about your wife....prayers do work....

As for bad days....if your alive to enjoy the day...it's a good day....just some days are more enjoyable than others.

Like this past Saturday....went white water rafting with my oldest son and his scout troop....I had a splitting headache....most likely sinus....it was so bad that I had to sit out the afternoon and let my son go without me...he and the rest had a blast....but we were together....it was still a good day....just would have been better without the headache.

Now...the guy I arrested the night before? Yea...he is having a bad weekend...and week...and month...besides being DUI (3rd one in 2 years...which makes it a Felony now...he also had a couple of rocks on him....yea....he his day did not go so well)

Had he continued through the evening, while driving under the influence, something far worse than being arrested might have happened.... you never know!

bad day

ddawg16, sounds like some of the bad days, that my brother's personnel would have, when he was First Sergeant for his division at Ft. Drum, in Watertown, NY. He stopped counting after dealing with the hundredth person that got in trouble, that was actually one of his charges. He made sure that their time of being in trouble, was well worth it, due to after he got done dealing with them, they never got in trouble again.

On the bright side my wife's doctor told her she didn't have bone cancer.
Good to hear about the wife. Looks like you and I have both had bad cases of mowers go bad instance. Mine was weld the chassis at the lower left vertical of the discharge on our push mower. Not pretty for the weld, but it is holding up, and my son realized that dads can fix stuff.

Thanks Greg, I know what you mean about dad fixing things, my son and two nephews could tear up an anvil with a power puff. With boys, pretty doesn't matter, function and durability does. I had to weld a pipe in my axe, they almost broke me splitting wood.
