approx cost for installing a toilet and shower drain

I'm thinking about having a DIY project install for a bathroom in the basement. However since there isn't any connection for drain on the concrete slab, i'm thinking about having a plumber here to install one for me. the main hook up from the planned bathroom location has about 2ft of floor space and i understand they'll have to cut some concrete. There aren't any walls i the way or electrics to worry about. anyhow, I was initially quoted 2k for this but doesn't that seem sorta high for just installation the drain connector for a toilet and a shower?

Get more estimates. Is this a pre tensioned slab?

Is that price for roughing in the drains only?

Can you open and close the concrete?

Without your location no one could guess at a cost---

roughing the drains only. not sure about a pre tensioned slab but the house is 97years old so my guess is no. as to if I can open and close the concrete? not sure exactly if you mean whether i can do it myself? this is near arlington, va. all brick houses, local residential area without major traffic and/or business

open and close meaning break up the concrete yourself, and then fill it back in when the plumber is done. That what I'm currently doing on my project. You wouldn't believe how high my plumbers are bidding.
