apprenticeship in construction carpentry

Where would be the best place to find a job as a construction carpenter? I have zero experience and would like to become a union carpenter one day.

thanks!

depending where you live u might want to reconsider. if you cant get into the union thenyou can go non union again depending where you live. you can just go to a site where they are working and ask for a job

Try a daily labor or temp place. There should be a co-op or jobcorp near you.

If they make you "bucketboy," find a different place. Many reasons for a bucketboy, one use - to fill his hands to keep him busy in order to keep him out of the way.

If they give you the crap jobs - keep at it, you just might learn something. Attitude might get you somewhere in this profession.
