That's a good looking rub, ever try some ground ginger in there too?

4 or 5 cloves crushed garlic
grated fresh ginger (about and inch or more) or powdered ginger
black pepper

Steaks--2 to 3 hours---3 to 4 pound rolled roast---6 to 8 hours----chicken---2 to 3 hours.

This is a natural tenderizer--so don't leave the meat in to long or it will become grainy---

This tasted mighty good----6 packs of snack sized pineapple juice are handy for this one---
I'll definitely gonna try these. Thanks!

Anybody BBQ?

Currently we are working through the last of the pork shoulder I smoked for 13.5 hours...well not really the last, we vacuum sealed half of it and froze it for later. We're not technically BBQing for Memorial Day but I am grilling steaks. Not to hijack the thread but this seems an appropriate place to ask: My wireless thermometer I used for smoker bit it during my last smoke, anyone know of a nice good quality one that they love? Preferably a dual probe one with a probe for in smoker and meat/internal.

Sorry to jump in here chefKev, I hope someone answers your question.

But I just wanted to let people know that if you use charcoal in your grill, Lowe's has for $9.99, two 20 lb. bags of Kingsford.

No prob, Home Depot has a sale too $9.88 for the same though they didn't appear to be limiting the quantity per customer like lowes wisely did so many around here are already sold out.
