These are great. I think the first one is taken on the Trans-Labrador Highway in Canada.

Those look pretty cool too! Cool as in COLD.
Did you notice the ones for Labrador are barren. So they are taken in the tundra or possibly the taiga. But the ones in the first post are definitely south of the permafrost line. In fact, I wouldn't doubt it if there was a steep hill from the road up. There's just something about those trees thats not quite right. I doubt we are looking at just the tops of them.

Good eye, creeper. Near 10,000ft of steep, actually. That's the Tateyama-Kurobe hwy in Japan. Note the cars driving on the left side of the road.

Very beautiful and interesting pictures. I liked a lot pictures 3, 5 and 6. The ways are unique and this railway line is gorgeous.
