All nighter
We're projected at above 98F ( heat index 105) today. So, in a fit of insanity I pulled an all-nighter so I wouldn't have to suffer working in the heat today.

I am too old for this crap. But I am WAY to old to have endured the heat today. I just wouldn't have gotten anything done.

Now I have an appointment with my bed in an air conditioned room

Why don't you work late, go to bed, get up early, sleep mid day, and so on like the Spaniards? You were prolly up all night drinking and you just don't want to admit it.

I don't mind the heat as along as I can get some shelter from the sun. I remember stripping forms on my house a few years ago. Driving home I felt light headed and sick. The next day was hot and overcast and I felt fine after working.

No drinking.... Not last night, at least. :whistling2:

Between sixth grade and seventh grade I refinished all the brightwork on a Force 5 sailboat (think: sunfish on steroids). I was scraping, sanding, and varnishing outside in Northern Virginia in July.

I got up every morning at 5:30 worked until around 10AM when it got too hot. Then I would take the afternoon off (at the neighbor's pool = HEAVEN), and pick up work in the late afternoon.

I've got a cute pic of this first DIY project around here somewhere. It's a picture-picture so I'll have to scan it in.

I had heatstoke about 30 years ago, so I have to be careful. Doctors tell me that I am more likely to have another one than most people are to have their first. About 6 hours working in the heat is my limit. Usually 8 am to 2 pm.

You make me feel lazy.
Your work ethic is not good for my self-esteem.
