WOW...after hearing the guys only comment at the end it seemed that all he was concerned about was that the road was blocked.

I could imagine myself making a similar sentiment just out of sheer terror, so I wouldn't jump to conclusions. :)

Well if it was me, as soon as I noticed a fail there would be all kinds of narratives coming out of my mouth. He says nothing until he first stops, then continues and comes around the corner. Don't hear any terror in his tone. Hope I'm wrong because if I'm not that says a lot about the mindset of some in that part of the world.

Maybe the person with the dash cam is a police officer? The antenna on the hood and the stripes on the hood lead me to assume. Perhaps he was talking about having to block the road now?

He said it in English, so I doubt he's a native Afghani, so I'd be careful who you think you're passing judgement on. Either way, you're probably right on some end, in that people in that part of the world see horrible things happen EVERY DAY and are probably desensitized to an explosion like that.

Either way, everyone reacts to things differently. I dont' scream like a girl when I'm scared, I tend to get silent, as I think a lot of people do.

Guys....I got this tidbit off another forum....

I'm here at Bagram and can tell you that from .8 miles away you could "feel" the explosion.

The crash site was maybe 150 yards from taking out our Localizer (part of the ILS). You can actually see the signs for the Localizer access gate in the video.

I think the only reason the video was "leaked" is because the Taliban are trying to claim credit for the crash. Total BS. It never came close to making it off the base.

Very lucky that so few people lost their lives in this crash. The road that the vehicle is traveling is very busy and there is a bus stop only a few meters from where the plane crashes.

The video was taken from an MP's dashcam judging by his reaction to block the roadway and the dog whimpering.

Police Officer / MP, I was somewhat close.
