12"???

This is the whole keyboard copy/pasted directly from MS Word 2007:
~!@#$%^&*()_+
1234567890-=
QWERTYUIOP{}
qwertyuiop[]
ASDFGHJKL:”
asdfghjkl;’
ZXCVBNM<>?
zxcvbnm,./
If this printed out here correctly, then the fault likely lies with an off-brand word processor……… or a transfer from another website.

If you have not yet downloaded the Google Toolbar, it also has a built-in spell checker. As well as a fantastic "highlighter" option that will highlight any word in your screen's text that you simply type into the search window. This is a great feature for quickly locating specific words amid dozens of pages of text.

Thank you.
Vinny (and you too, Vandy),

Many forums give the poster a very limited timeframe within which to do any corrections whatsoever. (like five [5] minutes)

<CLOSED> threads need to remain "as typed" so that the offending party/parties cannot go back and erase their transgressions.

The written words stand there in the closed thread for all to see and, hopefully, learn by.

Very simple solution
Install a spell checker for your browser
Most sites the post is locked between 5 min (normal) & 1 hour after posting

I will say this......................

I feel it is very important that a site like this one where advice is given, and sometimes followed, keep a venue open to correct mistaken suggestions..... or overlooked details.

I have had some errors in my posts pointed out to me (as hard as I try to double check and triple read everything I type), and thankfully I have been able to go back in and correct my mistakes, thereby not leading someone down the wrong path.

But misspellings.......... ? Those just make us look dumb, they don't often get people hurt, or cost them money.

I copy and paste all the time as I’m sure many do. The formatting conflict makes sense but it still seems odd that you “only” see this in newbie post.

I think it must be exactly what Dave said. The OP first posted this somewhere else (did not use Word on his own computer) then decided to copy it from that site's screen, and go to other sites (this one included) and re-post it for more coverage. This also would explain why so many of them never return..... they either got their answer elsewhere, of forgot they posted here.

If Vandy was not you, Vinny, I owe you an apology...... since I figured you might be playing cute. And I do apologize.

As much as I have disagreed with many of your theories and conclusions, you have a right to state them as you understand them to be true and accurate. No one should try to make it look like you are posting anything you are not. This is dead wrong.

Ah, I detect a sarcastic tone in this comment. That's OK

Look, I am not interested in--and I do not make it a priority of mine--to test your holy patience, Willie. I am here to help others--especially in the Landscaping forum, as has been the trend lately. If my remarks or advice--or their tone--make you bristle, I am sorry. There are people out there who need my help repairing and preparing their lawns for cold weather, and I am determined to provide them with responsible information.

Thank you.

Ok I’ll let it go Willie.

Decoding these messages is no harder (maybe easier) that trying to decode some of the other post that I see here that were displayed as intended.

Actually, Vinny, I really do enjoy some of your posts......... up to the point of them derailing themselves into areas of obscure confusion. And just like Alan Keyes, I honestly do consider you quite intelligent, both of you. But somehow I seem to be unable to follow either of your rabbit trails off into what seems to me to be a fog of rationalization and supposition.

I'll try to work on my end of this.

I like the ones that say: "I've got this wall.... do you think I can do it?"
