Just wanted to know what area everyone lives in? Sometimes it helps when making references to other contractors and such. Plus, I'm sure there are things that must be done differently when building homes in Ontario as compaired to building homes in a rain forrest like British Columbia. I'm from the Vancouver area B.C.

I am from Chester, IL which is about one hour south (and ever so slightly east) of St. Louis, MO.
Something else that might be helpful or at very least interesting is what everyone does. Your specialty, or GC, or whatever it is you call "work". So here goes for me. I own a remodeling and repair company named JNP Remodeling & Home Repair, named after myself, my son Nathan, and our last name. I would have loved to put the boy first, after all that is the point of starting a business, ultimately, to pass it on to your child(ren), but NJP Remodeling didn't have the same ring to it, and sometimes that's enough to make or break a business...and if it folds on a "non-flowing-off-the-tongue" name, then what's the point. Anyway, no specialty as of yet, general repairs and remodeling. Leaning towards roofing possibly in the future. I've always liked doing it. But we'll see.
BTW: to any mods, the reference to the company wasn't a shot at free advertising, but if it is unacceptable, feel free to delete it.

Brockton,MA home of Rocky Marciano, Marvin Hagler. The famous gym (petronelli) where they all trained is in a tough neighborhood! In fact, you have to be a boxer if you plan on walking there! Other than that, nice little city.

I'm in North-Central Mo, almost exactly halfway between StL & KC is Columbia, I'm about an hour north of there. House Docs is the name of my business, we will tackle nearly anything except major plumbing, electrical, or foundation work.

Hey I've got a web cam down river from me
If it had a telephoto you could see where I'm based in this shot from Saybrook Point
I'd be on Ferry Point, the land jutting out in the upper left
Above the obvious part of this marina, but below the Giant Mountains of the north in the background
If it's a clear day you can kinda see white blobs in there
That's the boats in the marinas up on Ferry Point (well, in the summer you can see them)
Live Web Cam shot:
This is why I always say I'm on the corner of river and ocean, the land of rust and mildew
