and yet another newbie

My grandfather was a contractor. My father was an architect and contractor. I had 7 uncles that had worked for my dad at one time and they became contractors. I was a licensed contractor for 20 years, but before then you could be self employed and work like a contractor under someone else's license. So I have 30 years as a pretty much a contractor and even though I have a lot of general knowledge, hard surface flooring, base and trim was my primary business and I did a lot of termite and water damage. When the economy got rough, this is the third downturn I have experienced, water damage and insurance work keeps on going.
I am a certified home inspector. So I know a few thing.
