I already jumped in on the general discussion board on a post regarding issues left by previous owners so I won't repeat all of that here. I'll just tell you a little about me instead.
I'm a married mom of 3 & first time home owner. I knew long ago that I would rather purchase a fixer upper with history & charm that I could really make mine than a turn key home so thats exactly what we did. I helped my aunt restore a 1903 victorian home which is where I picked up most of my DIY skills. I plan to live in this house for a minimum of 15 more years if not for the rest of my life. We have lots of work to do and I get the feeling these forums could very well become a "second home" for me.
To read about the challenges we're facing you'll have to hunt down my other post. Nice to meet you all and I look forward to getting to know everybody.
To find other posts by anyone.... click on their name, then "other posts" (second line down), it's that easy. You may have to search a little but part of their answer is listed to give you a good clue about the topic discussed. Hope that helps.
